Size Matters!
Get the size right; if you buy a garment which is too large you will be in the dog house! Every lingerie manufacturer uses slightly different sizes, so here at Style Lingerie we provide a unique size chart for every make on every garment page.
> Top Tip:
If you don't know her size, you should check the labels on some of her lingerie and nightwear garments. Choose garments that she wears often as these are likely to be the most comfortable and the best fit.
Lingerie and nightwear is measured in two different ways, bra and cup size or dress size.
Bra and Cup sizes:
For example a bra size of 34B means 34" (inches) around the chest which is measured just under the bust and a 'B' cup size. 'A' is the smallest cup size followed by B, C, D, DD, etc.
Some nightwear is measured in underbust sizes, for example 32, 34, 36, 38, etc. These are all in inches. Where this is the case, we also offer guidance in standard UK dress sizes as well (see below).
Dress sizes:
Most nightwear (and some lingerie) is measured in standard dress sizes. UK dress sizes include 6, 8, 10, 12, 14, 16, etc. To complicate things, most knickers are also measured in UK dress sizes, so you will also need this information.
You should be armed with these two important sizes. For example if you know she takes a 34B bra and she wears a UK dress size 8; then you are ready to go shopping...
What is the occasion?
There are many appropriate occasions where you can buy lingerie for your loved one including:

What should I purchase?
This is the most difficult question to answer as it's a matter of personal taste and what gift will be most appreciated. A good place to start is to ask what her "bedroom personality" is?
If she is adventurous or confident in the bedroom, then you can be adventurous with your purchase! There is a fine line between sexy and tacky. We choose all our garments very carefully and avoid pushing this boundary too far.
If she is conservative in the bedroom and you would like to spice things up a little, then we would suggest playing it fairly safe. Perhaps a chemise or a nightdress might be a good place to start, especially if you have not purchased lingerie before (or maybe not for a long time). The fact that you have taken the trouble to choose a romantic gift says a lot in itself. Resist the temptation to purchase something risque and view it as a first step towards something more raunchy later on.

If you are really unsure what to purchase, always go for nightwear rather than lingerie. Nightwear is generally easier to get the size right as most garments are fairly loose fitting and it's going to be worn when you are most likely to appreciate it.
How much to spend?
The majority of women buy their underwear from department stores, so to elevate your gift from "everyday undies" to a "special gift" you should avoid any high street label. Style Lingerie don't sell any garments you can easily find on the high street. How much you spend is a matter of personal preference; however, we are generally less expensive than high street brands.

: It's a common mistake to assume that the retailer will have the gament you want to buy in stock. More than 9 out of every 10 internet lingerie retailers buy in stock only after they have sold it: many are expert at hiding this fact.
