Size Matters!
Get the size right... every underwear and nightwear manufacturer has slightly different sizes and we provide a unique size chart for every make on every garment page.
> Top Tip:
If you don't know her size, you should check the labels on some of her underwear and nightwear that she wears often as these will be the most comfortable fit.
Lingerie and nightwear is measured in two different ways...
Bra size:
A bra size of 34C means 34" (inches) around the chest and a 'C' cup size. 'A' is the smallest cup size followed by B, C, D, DD, etc.
Dress size:
Most nightwear (and some underwear) is measured in dress sizes. UK dress sizes are 6, 8, 10, 12, 14, 16, etc. To complicate things, most knickers are also measured in dress sizes, so you will also need this information.
What should I purchase?
A good place to start is to ask what her "bedroom personality" is?
If she is adventurous in the bedroom, then you can be adventurous with your purchase! There is a fine line between sexy and tacky. We choose all our sexy underwear very carefully and avoid pushing this boundary too far.
If she is conservative in the bedroom and you would like to spice things up a little, then we would suggest playing it fairly safe. Perhaps a sexy chemise or a nightdress might be a good place to start, especially if you have not purchased ladies underwear before (or maybe not for a long time). The fact that you have taken the trouble to choose a romantic gift says a lot in itself. Resist the temptation to purchase something risque and view it as a first step towards something more raunchy later on.
> Top Tip:
If you are really unsure what to purchase, always go for nightwear rather than underwear. Nightwear is generally easier to get the size right as most garments are fairly loose fitting and it's going to be worn when you are most likely to appreciate it.
How much to spend?
The majority of women buy their underwear from department stores, so to elevate your gift to a "special gift" you should avoid all high street labels. How much you spend is a matter of personal preference.
